Read about some of our selections below:

Vérité – “By Now”
After stripping down her sound for her 2019 LP new skin, Vérité returns to the mythical sound that defined her debut album with “by now.” Her unique, melancholic lyrical style is paired beautifully with a heavy piano backing and whirling synth line that captures the magic that made the public fall in love with her to begin with.

Laura Mvula – “Church Girl”
A fresh cut from an early contender for the Pop album of the year, “Church Girl” hits at the core of Laura Mvula’s musical reinvention. While her neo-soul roots still guide this track, they don’t dominate, allowing Mvula to create a unique sound palette that harkens back to infectious and euphoric 80s dance-pop tracks like Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know.” This project, and this artist, is one to watch.

Royal Blood – “Trouble’s Coming”
Alternative Dance-Pop was a genre combination that was begging to be brought to fruition. And to some extent, artists like Paramore and Tove Lo have grazed its edges, but English duo Royal Blood hit dead in its center, bringing a guitar-driven rock sound to four on the floor bangers with “Trouble’s Coming” in a way that feels as fresh as music in 2021 could be.
And these certified bangers are just the start! Be sure to give the playlist a like and follow our official Spotify account by clicking below!
